Our 2-layer Mastic Heat Shrinkable Sleeve System is specially designed and engineered for use in the corrosion protection of field girth weld joints. The system is perfect for water supply or gas distribution and transmission networks. It is particularly suited for use in low and middle shear, as well as low stress environments in moderate climates.
The Mastic Heat Shrinkable Tape is compatible with standard pipe coatings, which means that it can be used to coat bare, replacement pipe sections, and large radius bends. The system is designed to be applied with minimum preheating, which makes it ideal for large diameter water pipes.
The first layer of our Mastic Heat Shrinkable Sleeve System is a low preheat, middle shear strength, half-rigid mastic sealant. The second layer consists of an extruded radiation cross linked heat shrinkable high density polyethylene backing with TIP (Temperature Indicator Pattern).
